Review: Kuu by Tea Garden @ Aeon Tebrau City, Johor Bahru Part 2

So I had visited Kuu by Tea Garden before ( Read Part 1 here ), and this time I decided to visit it again for the egg tarts and also the mee rebus. The mee rebus was okay. It wasn’t spicy at all and it would definitely taste better with some cili padi thrown into it. It definitely isn’t as good as the ones you can find at Malay stalls and restaurants. It isn’t bad though and it is something I would order again.

Review: Kuu By Tea Garden @ Aeon Tebrau City, Johor Bahru Part 1

Tea Garden is a popular cafe chain in Johor Bahru. The recently revamped Aeon Tebrau City now has Kuu by Tea Garden. I don't know why they add Kuu to it. Perhaps it is a mini version because Tea Garden has more variety of items to order. The popular food at Tea Garden are actually the snacks like egg tarts and salted egg bun. At the regular Tea Garden, there are Cantonese egg tarts and Portuguese egg tarts which get sold out often but it seems like Kuu by Tea Garden only has Cantonese egg tarts which don't get sold out. I don't know why they don't sell Portuguese egg tarts in their Aeon Tebrau City branch as they are popular in other branches. The egg tarts are delicious enough for me to purchase again. I don't really recommended the main courses in the menu though. I have tried the herbal chicken and I think the chicken was quite tasteless. Read Part 2 here

Review: Wafu Kitchen @ Taman Mount Austin, Johor Bahru

Wafu Kitchen is conveniently situated within the walking distance of Sunway College Johor Bahru and Austin Heights Private & International Schools. Hence, it isn't uncommon to see youngsters eating at Wafu Kitchen. Japanese food is always a favorite among youngsters here in Malaysia. Being the only Japanese cafe within walking distance of the college and school, I doubt this cafe would suffer from a lack of customers anytime soon. I ordered this egg and prawn rice. The presentation is lovely but it does not taste as good as it looks. It tastes very average. Really nothing to shout about. I wouldn't order this again. Not sure if I would even visit this cafe again.

Review: Moonlight Cake House @ Taman Mount Austin, Johor Bahru

Recently, I have been seeing Moonlight Cake House outlets opening in Kuala Lumpur. Moonlight Cake House originated from Johor. With several outlets in Johor, Moonlight Cake House is quite well-known among the locals.  I have been to Moonlight Cake House a few times not because the cakes are amazing, but they are open till quite late at night. If you are craving for cakes late at night like I do sometimes, Moonlight Cake House is one of the cafes you can go to because depending on the branches, they would open until anytime between 11 pm and 2 am. The cake above is tiramisu and the taste is just okay. Don't expect too much from this cafe. It has a great cozy and clean environment which makes it a nice place to hang out especially with girls. The food is nothing to shout about, be it the desserts, breads, or main courses.
