Gerai Makan Japanese BBQ 大众烧肉 is not a place for princessy girls who don't want to smell like BBQ after meals or risk having makeup being melted away. You will definitely sweat and smell like BBQ after visiting this place. It is located at the back alley of Plaza Faber.
We ordered this dish called Genghis Khan which only costs RM20. Genghis Khan is a popular dish in Japan which is basically Japanese grilled mutton slices with cabbages on a skillet. I would recommend this dish. The meat and broth is very flavorful and savory.
Other than that, you can also order innards and meat to be grilled. We ordered throat, heart, baby intestine and tongue. I don't recommend the throat as it was quite tough. The other parts were good and easy to chew. I'm totally Chinese and enjoyed eating them.
